Home Automation Scenes
The following are just some examples of scenes you may choose to create with your home automation system.
Welcome Home Scene
When you arrive home from work, your remote key button opens the garage door, turns off the security alarm, and activates the "Welcome Home" scene, turning on appropriate lights and maybe the coffee perculator. Curtains and blinds may open or close, depending on the time of day and the air conditioning adjusts the temperature to a comfortable pre-determined level.
Goodnight Scene
Press the Goodnight button by your bed and the house begins to close down ready for your sleep. The air conditioning adjusts and all but the bedroom and ensuite lights are turned off. A quick touch of a button turns off the remaining lights.
Emergency Scene
If you hear a "bump" in the night, press the panic button next to your bed to activate the external lights and selected internal lights throughout the house to allow you to investigate. If it's an intruder another press of the button activates the security alarm. But if it was only the dog next door, simply return to the bedroom and activate the "goodnight" mode again.
Goodbye Scene
Press the remote as you leave and your home shuts down the lights and air conditioning - saving you energy.
Entertaining Scene
The entertaining scene adjusts the internal and external lights to just the right level for that all-important dinner party.
Holiday Scene
While you're away on a relaxing break, you can have peace of mind knowing that your home automation system will take care of itself. Major appliances like under-floor heating, heated towel rails and air conditioning are all turned off until you return. However, while you're away the home automation system turns on and off selected lighting at pre-determined intervals and opens and closes blinds and curtains giving your home a lived-in appearance to fool would be intruders.
Fire!
Your home automation system can be linked to your smoke dectectors. When your smoke alarm activates at night, the lighting is immediately switched on to help you exit the house as quickly as possible.
